Inspired by (and in spite of) the heat, I decided to illustrate one of my favourite songs by Swans. I created a mixed media lyrics booklet for “I am the Sun”. Using some organic materials like chili powder, turmeric and coffee, various cutouts form magazines or my own experiments with different media I made a collage in the music video style of the 90s when this song was originally released. This booklet is intended as a prototype for a larger project.
